Cetrea Surgical at Lillebælt Regional Hospital, Kolding

In the beginning of June, one of two surgery wards (cardiac and orthopedic surgery) started using Cetrea Emergency after just 3 months of implementation. The surgery ward wanted a better overview of the daily surgery program and they wanted to ensure a more quite and fluent flow at the operation ward. The management saw it as a necessity to have a state-of-the-art system to handle the planning and ensure quick and efficient communication with the patient wards.

Cetrea Surgical was a success from the beginning. The system has run 24/7 and both the patient wards and the surgical department have an excellent overview of the current activities evolving around surgeries. The system also efficiently visualizes upcoming activities and creates the feeling of being well-prepared amongst the clinicians. The installation has contributed to a more quite environment and have enabled simpler prioritization of acute patients.

The system was so well received that the second surgery ward will install the system during the fall of 2009 and adds the gynecological and organ specialties to the list of surgeries handled by the system.
