Cetrea Emergency at the Regional Hospital at Herning and Holstebro After just 3 months of implementation, Cetrea Emergency went online at the beginning of June 2009. The system was acquired because the new structure in the emergency department required overview of a central visitation facility, two emergency departments and two acute patient wards. To complicate matters the departments were split on two physical locations. To provide an overview of the acute patients, to facilitate communication and flow Cetrea Emergency was acquired. Since the beginning of June the system has run around the clock and all acute patients are created in the visitation and moved to the relevant departments. The clinicians use large interactive displays to provide quick overviews of incoming patients, treatment activities, priorities, triage, and quality goals. To ensure easy communication between the departments and the visitation, chat messages are used which proves less interrupting.
